Default Little bit of Photoshop fun.

My first time doing a planet/moon/celestial body. I'll be working on a few new ones like nebula and solar systems and whatnot. Took me only an hour and a half to get it the way I wanted it. I actually got it in a completed form in about 30 minutes, but I decided to fiddle with it.

Really? Never seen it since I've never played it...(looks up image). I see what you mean. It's a big brown round lumpy thing with some shniy bits on the top.

Image for the people who don't know what it looks like:

Nope. Never saw it till now so I couldn't have had inspiration from it.

Edit: I thought I should put a thank you in for the people who comented on it. So, Thank You!

Wow, impressive. If you could spare some time to do a quick runthrough of the techniques you used (if you don't mind), I'd greatly appreciate it. I've wanted to do similar things for a while now, but I can't get it looking quite right.

EDIT: I have a new desktop background now!

Maybe if I can find the time, I'll write a tutorial and put it on my site. I've now become (since yesterday) a 1099 contracted worker for my firend/instructor who owns his own IT company. I'm doing web design for him at the moment and am working on three or four web sites right now.
